The DECK Steering Committee meeting took place in Ljubljana from October 2nd to 3rd. The meeting was opened with a welcome from Jakob Marusic of the Slovenian Canoe Federation.

Partners exchanged their experiences regarding on-site visits, audit reporting, and LCA data collection, identifying general weaknesses and strengths from their audit experiences. During the discussion, partners shared interesting environmental initiatives that had been undertaken, aiming to identify common actions for all partners. For instance, some partners implemented initiatives such as reusable plastic glasses or reusable bottles with the project logo for all partners. Partners also highlighted difficulties in waste management and volunteer education as well as areas where they faced challenges.

The meeting in Ljubljana was an occasion for partners to share experiences and plan common actions to address crucial environmental challenges. The commitment and collaboration of the partners reflect the importance of synergy in pursuing the project's objectives and tackling environmental challenges with determination. The next step will be to turn these discussions into concrete actions, continuing the journey towards a more sustainable and responsible future for all.
