The second on-site visit of the DECK project for the Canoe Federation of Slovenia took place on September 3rd, 2023, during the non-competitive event Soška Regatta on the Soča River between Solkan (Slovenia) and Podgora (Italy).

The event occurred on the Soča River, situated on the western border of Slovenia, 100 km from Ljubljana and 50 km from Udine; the race started from Solkan in Slovenia and finished in the Italian town of Piuma. Approximately 250 participants, mainly from Slovenia, took part in the event, using various types of boats except for motorboats. The event was organized by the local Kajak Klub Soške Elektrarne, under the auspices of the National Canoe Federation of Slovenia, aimed at promoting paddling and water recreation.
